Women's interests

When given the opportunity,the kids engaged in worship and had a genuine encounter with God. Later, when I asked the kids what they experienced, most of them said they felt “peace” or had a sense of comfort.

Marriage is a reflection of this divine love, and I am deeply grateful to have experienced its steadfastness in both my marriage and my faith.

In Hebrew, ezer means helper, aid, or strength. Almost every place in the Bible where ezer appears in the Bible, it refers to God Himself - as one who saves, strengthens and protects Israel. God is an ezer to Israel. Ezer Kenegdo, the Hebrew word for helper describes the function of a woman. It is a statement of who she is, not what she is.  The woman is given a purpose for existing. Mom’s – Your uniqueness is being celebrated today!  On our farm, we just finished Kidding and Lambing season – and even in the animal kingdom, there is a special bond between mother and child.  Here is one of my favorite pictures.  As a mother goat or lamb cleans her baby for the first time, she is making what I call "Mommy sounds."

The day after Sukkot, Feast of Tabernacles, our Jewish friends celebrate Simchat Torah with joyful dancing.  Simchat Torah means “Rejoicing in Torah.” They do this because they are starting a new cycle of the yearly Torah readings with Genesis. The day before, on the last day of Sukkot, they read the final portion of the Torah in Deuteronomy.

With promises of long life, joy, and guidance, it's a no-brainer to seek after wisdom. The book of Proverbs is a rich resource for doing just that.
