Farm Stories
Farm fresh stories, rich with laughter, tears, and faith. This is a collection of tales from my farm adventures, featuring the people, animals, and experiences that make farm life so vibrant and rewarding.
As I share these stories, I'll draw connections to biblical themes, characters, and principles - revealing how the rhythms of farm life reflect God's character and provision. After all, His fingerprints are everywhere in His creation.

The Faithful Shadow
. If you look closely, you'll see a lively woman her boots splashing through puddles as she leaps into Gator. She's my human, holding a shepherd's rod in one hand and a dented metal bucket in the other. While some folks might enjoy their coffee, she prefers the morning greeting of a curious goat or the velvet softness of a gentle lamb's nose – little reminders of the Creator’s goodness. The animals greet her with friendly muzzles, their breath warm and sweet.

The Duck Who Thought She Was a Chicken: Choosing Wise Friends
Have you ever noticed how the company we keep can shape who we become? On our farm, a funny little duck taught me this lesson in a way I’ll never forget. In “The Duck Who Thought She Was a Chicken: Choosing Wise Friends,” I share how one duck’s story reveals the surprising power of friendship—and why choosing the right companions can help us (and our children) grow into who we’re truly meant to be.

Identity Theft
We have a duck who thinks she is a chicken! Why? Because she hangs out with the chickens. I fondly call them “the amigos.” She has been with them since birth.

A Mother's Voice: Heard, Known, Loved
Mom’s – Your uniqueness is being celebrated today! On our farm, we just finished Kidding and Lambing season – and even in the animal kingdom, there is a special bond between mother and child. Here is one of my favorite pictures. As a mother goat or lamb cleans her baby for the first time, she is making what I call "Mommy sounds."
